CV-8 Hornet Aircraft Carrier Summary
This is a 3D printed sculpt of the USS Hornet by GamingStar.
The Hornet was the third ship of the storied Yorktown class. The Hornet saw heavy action during the initial phase of the war. She launched the Doolittle raid on Tokyo and participated in the Battle of Midway. She was badly damaged at the Battle of the Santa Cruz Islands and was abandoned. An approaching Japanese surface force sunk her by direct fire.
The Hornet comes with a choice of unique, historically accurate flight deck decal patterns:
1) Pre-war weathered walnut stain
2) Weathered USN deck blue stain
Each carrier comes with two strong neodymium rare earth magnets to hold two aircraft. Never have your airwing fall off a carrier again! Purchase a loaded carrier and get a discount on magnetized aircraft.
Hull camouflage patterns available are based on war period.
