South East Asia Command (1942-46) Summary

Used by South East Asia Command and in the CBI theatre mid-1942 – 1946. Initially the red center circle was overpainted with white but this compromised camouflage. Instead, the normal roundel blue was mixed 50:50 with white that produced a two-tone blue roundel that contrasted well against the Japanese hinomaru, making it easier to distinguish between friendly and enemy aircraft.
